The Fairgreen, or Friarshaugh

The site near Kelso called locally The Fairgreen or Friarshaugh these names passed down through the centuries, this is where the Old Medieval Town of Roxburgh stood, no sight of this  once very important town exists today, this is where county name comes from. See the mound in the background you can still find the ruins of Old Roxburgh Castle.
